Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with legal research on Malaysian statutes, case law and procedural issues.
- Assist in the preparation and review of cause papers, correspondence, pleadings, affidavits,
submissions and other legal documents.
- Assist in organising and compiling bundles of documents, authorities and court papers for filing
and hearings.
- Conduct case law searches and prepare concise research notes or case summaries.
- Assist with case preparation, including reviewing documents, preparing chronologies, summaries and relevant supporting materials.
- Attend court proceedings, case managements, client meetings and conferences with lawyers where
appropriate.
- Assist with e-filing, service of documents and other litigation-related administrative matters.
- Maintain and organise physical and electronic case files.
- Assist lawyers with other ad hoc legal and administrative tasks as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with clients, documents and case
information.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an LL.B. or other recognised law degree.
- Available for an internship from October 2026 until December 2026 / January 2027.
- Strong interest in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Good legal research, analytical and writing skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and general document management.
- Prior internship or exposure to legal practice is an advantage, but not essential
